The 2019-2020 men’s college basketball season starts tonight, and I am soooooo excited.
Lots of storylines abound. Will Virginia repeat? Will Michigan State FINALLY live up to its lofty #1 preseason ranking? Is this Louisville’s time? How will Duke look post-Zion (and RJ)? Is Penny Hardaway all that as a head coach?
I’m looking to these questions (and more) getting answered.
Side note: you’ve gotta love the fall season. It gives us college and pro basketball, college and pro football, and hockey. Take that, summer!
At any rate, this preview will center around the conferences that matter. For those of you from the Missouri Valley, Sun Belt, MAC and Mountain West conferences and are mad at me: sue me, cuz none of those teams are winning it all anyway.
So without further ado, here are my predictions…
Conference Winners
Atlantic Coast Conference: North Carolina (I just threw up in my mouth)
Southeastern Conference: Kentucky (watch out for Florida, tho)
Big Ten: Michigan State (can’t count out Tom Izzo)
Big 12: Kansas (things will be different after the NCAA pops that ass)
Pac-12: Oregon
American Athletic Conference: Cincinnati
Big East: Seton Hall
Final Four: North Carolina, Kentucky, Louisville, Duke
2019-2020 National Champions: North Carolina (predictions jinx, don’t let my ass down!!!)
