Normally I would roll my eyes and chuckle at the rage bait that is the first College Football Playoff rankings show on the SEC propaganda that is ESPN, mainly because it’s only the first show and those rankings DO change on a weekly basis. Yet, I still have some thoughts.
First, why is Alabama ranked ahead of Tennessee? The Vols not only beat Bama a few weeks ago, they beat the Tide like a rented mule.
Same with Ohio State being ranked ahead of USC. USC beat the Buckeyes literally last Saturday.
Lastly on a different note, why is Wake Forest ranked behind Texas Tech?
Sure, the argument can be made of who Wake has beaten — but who has Tech beaten? Hell, at least Wake’s loss was to top-ranked Miami. Tech got their asses kicked by unranked Cincinnati!
Again, this is the first rankings and things to change. But the methodology of the committee ranking these teams? C’mon, son…
