It’s been a minute since I last posted a rant (almost a month?) — and the 2022 Major League Baseball season is already here!
Since I am late as hell with this, I’m going to provide a VERY quick preview with a few comments sprinkled here and there. And sure the season has started late due to labor issues, but dammit I’m glad baseball season is here.
So without further ado…
* denotes wildcard team
American League
AL East
- Tampa Bay Rays
- Toronto Blue Jays*
- New York Yankees*
- Boston Red Sox*
- Baltimore Orioles
Quick thought: there is no team that is complete as the Rays. While the Blue Jays have the bats led by Vladimir Guerrero, the Rays’ pitching should overcome that. Oh and by the way, this is by far the best division in baseball — and one of the best in all of sports (prayers to those sorry-ass Orioles and their fans)
AL Central
- Chicago White Sox
- Minnesota Twins
- Cleveland Guardians (gonna take me a while to get used to saying that)
- Kansas City Royals
- Detroit Tigers
AL West
- Houston Astros
- Seattle Mariners
- Oakland Athletics
- Los Angeles Angels
- Texas Rangers
Quick thought: someone PLEASE take out those cheating-ass Astros…
American League Champion: Tampa Bay Rays
National League
NL East
- Atlanta Braves
- Philadelphia Phillies*
- New York Mets
- Miami Marlins
- Washington Nationals
Quick thought: for all of you jumping on the Mets bandwagon, just remember: “METS = My Entire Team Sucks”.
NL Central
- Milwaukee Brewers
- St. Louis Cardinals
- Cincinnati Reds
- Chicago Cubs
- Pittsburgh Pirates
NL West
- Los Angeles Dodgers
- San Francisco Giants*
- San Diego Padres*
- Colorado Rockies
- Arizona Diamondbacks
Quick thought: the Dodgers may be the best team in the National League, let alone the NL West. The Giants may have something to say about it, emphasis on the word “MAY”…
