Editor’s note: yeah, I know this post is late as hell. Sue me.
New York Yankees vs. Minnesota Twins
Both these squads hit over 300 home runs this season, with the Twins setting the record with 307. Since quality starting pitching is optional for both teams, expect a boatload of runs to be scored in this series.
I’ll give the edge to my Yankees, only because their bullpen is among the best in the league.
Prediction: Yankees in four.
Houston Astros vs. Tampa Bay Rays
This matchup looks one-sided as fuck. The powerful Astros, who can both pitch AND mash, going against the huge underdogs in the Rays.
I love the Rays’ story, a small-market wonder who along with the Oakland A’s are the resident disrupters among the American League elite. It just that it’s just like, damn, it’s the friggin Astros!
As much as I’d love to see the Rays shock the world (and give my Yankees an easier road to the World Series), this is going to be one quick-ass series.
Prediction: Astros in three.
