Before I go any further, let me disclose the following.
I am not, and never have been, a fan of Jay Cutler. I think he has wasted most of his God-given talents at QB by being a whiny, surly dude who couldn't lead ants to a picnic. He also didn't seem to give a damn about winning.
In short, Cutler was the second coming of Jeff George.
However, I'm going to take a break from my Colin Kaepernick blackballing frustrating and give Cutler a break for once.
This was a damn good signing by the Miami Dolphins.
Cutler had one of his best seasons under head coach Adam Gase while the latter was the Chicago Bears' offensive coordinator. He threw for 3,659 yards, 21 touchdowns and only 11 interceptions. Pretty efficient if you ask me.
It also helps that Cutler and Gase get along fairly well and should help in easing the transition from the injured Ryan Tannehill.
Besides, I think Cutler will make it work. He has 10 million reasons to do so.
And as much as I wanted to see Kaepernick get a look, there was no way the Cuban community in Miami would accept him for that Castro t-shirt. Dude has to know better than that…
