Look, I know that there are a lot of folks out there who have mental fatigue on this brother — especially his loudmouth daddy.
A lot of fans cannot wait for him to fail. Hell, a lot of current NBA players not only want him to fail, they want to embarrass the hell out of the kid.
I still think Lonzo Ball is far and away the best player in this draft. If you don’t believe me, look at what he did in his only college season.
He led UCLA to a 31-5 record and a Sweet Sixteen appearance. Guess what UCLA’s record was the year before Lonzo arrived.
15-17.
Lonzo averaged 14.6 points, 7.6 assists and 6 rebounds last season. Anyone who watched UCLA last season knows that he pretty much carried his team. He has an uncanny ability to see the court and is a willing distributor. He is basically the second coming of Jason Kidd.
And here are a few more noteworthy items to throw in:
- Consensus first-team All-American (2017)
- First-team All-Pac-12 (2017)
- NCAA season assists leader (2017)
- Wayman Tisdale Award (2017)
- Pac-12 Freshman of the Year (2017)
I think Lonzo landed in a great spot. Lakers president Magic Johnson and co. will get the best out of him and join the lineage of great guards in Laker history.
As long Lonzo’s silly, loud-mouthed, attention whoring father stays the hell out the way, all will be well.
Meanwhile, Markelle Fultz had no business being the top pick. If anything, he should have no better than the fourth overall pick, going behind Ball, Josh Jackson and Jayson Tatum.
I mean, picking a dude who couldn’t lead his team out of the PAC-12 basement #1 overall. Really???
I guess the Sixers will be perennially stuck figuring out their “process”…

Time will tell- college and the pro’s a different game. I wish his dad would shut up though. What a fool.
Time will tell if he can be a top 5 player, but he is an amazing passer if he can develop a jumper he can be dangerous and being from philly its been tough since AI man
