I discussed the future of sports at historically black colleges (HBCUs) on my podcast last night with Duane Nash from “The Yard/HBCU Sports” and “SLZE Radio” as well as Previn Taylor from “The Double-S Project”.
Since I attended an HBCU (for my first graduate degree from North Carolina A&T), this subject is near and dear to my heart. The rest of the panel are HBCU alums, so it’s near and dear to them as well.
We threw some ideas around as to how HBCUs could make more money with their sports, whether it’s via promotions or even an “HBCU channel”.
