New England Patriots at Denver Broncos. It’s good to see Tom Brady and Peyton Manning going at it in the playoffs again. Forget that both teams are a bit undermanned – the Pats’ WRs are slower than I am and Denver’s D would give up 30 points to the Sisters of the Poor. It’s all about Brady vs. Manning, must-see TV if you ask me. Having said that, I think Manning gets some revenge on Brady and Bill Bellicheat. Manning wants to atone for last year’s playoff flop, and will do so by any means necessary. By the way, if y’all like offense, this is the game for you… Broncos 34, Patriots 31.

San Francisco 49ers at Seattle Seahawks. This is going to be a good ‘ol fashioned slobber-knocker. Both of these teams hate each other, which I ranted about earlier. It is damn near impossible for any road team to win in Seattle. That 12th Man (Seahawks fans) is something to be reckoned with. That fuels the Seahawks’ D, led by the secondary aka “Legion of Boom”, who I think has one of the best defenses in the league. It will pose a huge threat to Colin Kaepernick and Co. on offense, and that will the 49ers problems on that side of the ball.
However, I think the 49ers are on a mission. San Fran is the hottest team in the league right now, having won eight in a row including the playoffs. The 49ers defense is also one of the best, and is playing at a high level. It also helps that the Niners have a healthy Michael Crabtree, and Anquan Boldin is playing out of his mind. Oh and one more thing: Seahawks WR Percy Harvin has not been cleared to play in the NFC Championship Game. That is huge for both teams.
I picked the 49ers before the season to play in the Super Bowl (and win it), and I am not going to waver. 49ers 20, Seahawks 17.
