Welcome to the inaugural “The Klown Times” NFL Power Rankings. A lot of you are probably wondering, “call me stupid, but isn’t waiting nine weeks into the season kinda late to produce an NFL rankings list?” My response would be, “well – ‘STUPID’ – the reason why I wait this long into the season to make such a list is because producing a power rankings list starting in Week 1 is just too damn early”.
You stand a better chance knowing how teams measure up in the middle of the season.
There are teams that start off as contenders end up as pretenders. We see this every year. Remember the Arizona Cardinals’ 4-0 start? Yeah, neither do I (the Cards have lost five straight).
And a lot of teams get hot during the season after slow starts. I mean look at my Pittsburgh Steelers, going from not being able to beat two JV teams on the road (Oakland and Tennessee) to beating the defending champion New York Giants on the road. The Packers appeared to right themselves after a 2-3 start. And the Patriots look to be themselves after a 3-3 start (unfortunately).
So, without further ado, here is who I think are the top ten teams in the NFL after Week 9.
