It all comes down to this: the young, upstart San Antonio Spurs vs. my beloved New York Knicks for the 2026 NBA title.
This is quite the intriguing matchup. Youth vs. experience. A future superstar/alien vs. the most clutch player in the NBA.
This, to me, is my best chance to FINALLY see my beloved Knicks win a championship since 1994 (New York lost to the Houston Rockets in seven games).
After all, we match up pretty well with the Spurs. We have three perimeter defenders in OG Anunoby, Mikal Bridges and Josh Hart. We have our own 7-footer who could do a lot in Karl Anthony Towns.
And last, but not least, we have Jalen Brunson — the most clutch player in the NBA. Who’s going to stop that?
To be sure, the Spurs have some young dogs in Stephon Castle and Dylan Harper. And there is this 7-ft, 5-inch alien in Victor Wembanyama that will be a terror on the court. A tough matchup, to be sure.
While I will probably jinx my squad, I’ll stick with my team on this.
Knicks in six.
