There is a reason I have yet to give a preview of ANY round in the 2017 NBA Playoffs.
Why give previews for games when I already know that no matter who wins their respective series opposite the Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers, those squads do not have a snowball’s chance in hell against those aforementioned teams? Those other teams are nothing but glorified sacrificial lambs for the Warriors and Cavaliers.
The Warriors and Cavs are by far and away the two best teams in the NBA — and they’ve played like it in these playoffs. Both have started 8-0 in the playoffs, and aside from the Cavs’ Game 1 vs. the Pacers, both have been dominant in those sweeps.
DeMarr DeRozan and the Toronto Raptors didn’t have a prayer against Cleveland. Ditto for the Portland Trailblazers and Utah Jazz vs. Golden State.
Do y’all really think San Antonio and Houston can win more than one game vs. the Warriors? And I know y’all don’t think Washington or Boston could avert a sweep at the hands of the Cavs.
So that’s why I say fast-forward to the NBA Finals so that will finally seriously tune in to the playoffs.
Hell I would say at least there’s the NHL’s Stanley Cup Playoffs, but I don’t even know where I could find them on TV…
