The 2016 NFL season has come to a close, and what should be a crazy Wildcard weekend is a day away. So without further ado…
AFC
Oakland Raiders at Houston Texans
This is probably going to be the pissiest-poor game of the weekend. A backup QB going up against a high-priced free agent bust. All I have to say is, whatever the hell the over/under is, take the under – WAAAAY under… Raiders 10, Texans 9.
Miami Dolphins at Pittsburgh Steelers
Don’t think Pittsburgh remembers the ass-kicking the Dolphins laid on them in Miami? Over 200 yards on the ground by Jay Ajayi. Big Ben being gimpy.
This is a BIG revenge game for my Steelers. The Killer Bs (Ben, Le’Veon Bell and Antonio Brown) will be healthy and ready to go. Miami is down to its backup QB. Ajayi will probably not run ragged as he did in October.
Oh, and one more thing: the temperature will be in the 20s come kickoff. Good luck with that, Miami… Steelers 27, Dolphins 13.
NFC
Detroit Lions at Seattle Seahawks
Even though Seattle is not operating at full strength, the Seahawks will still have more than enough to beat the Lions at home. Detroit’s heart was snatched out of them when it lost to the rival Packers (more on them in a moment) last Sunday night with the NFC North title on the line.
Well Lions fans, at least your team overachieved this season. That has to count for something… Seahawks 28, Lions 20.
New York Giants at Green Bay Packers
The “Teams to Take the Cowboys Out” Bowl.
I believe both teams can, and will, eliminate the Dallas Cowboys in the NFC playoffs. The Giants beat them twice. The Packers’ offense is more than capable of lighting up the Dallas suspect pass defense.
I believe that we are going to see vintage, playoff Eli Manning. He is not afraid of Aaron “A-a-Ron” Rodgers. He is not afraid of going into Green Bay in the playoffs. And for that reason alone, I am taking the Giants in this one.
This should be the best game of the weekend. Both teams will not disappoint… Giants 24, Packers 20.
Last week’s record: 12-4 (Finished the regular season on a GREAT note!)
Final 2016 NFL regular season record: 151-81-2 (Still awesome at picking games, …DAMMIT!!!)
