The first week of the season is always the most fun and intriguing. There are always lots of new faces in different places.
Andy Reid in Kansas City. Former Packers wide receiver Greg Jennings signed with the rival Vikings (by the way, Jennings leaving Aaron Rodgers for Christian Ponder is like leaving Halle Berry for Precious). And we finally get to see Sean Payton back on the sidelines coaching the Saints (fuck Roger Goodell).
At any rate, let’s get this party started – shall we???
Game of the Week:
ALL OF THEM! Just kidding, though it does seem that way after seven months of no NFL. I am intrigued by the Philadelphia Eagles at Washington Redskins matchup on Monday night. I mean how many storylines could one glean from this game? How will the Eagles look under first year coach Chip Kelly? Could the Eagles be any worse than last season? How will Mike Vick thrive in Kelly’s offensive system? And most importantly, how will Robert Griffin III look coming off of that knee injury he suffered in January? Lots of questions. This game will answer them for sure.
Talk about “must-see TV”…
Broncos over Ravens (you think Peyton Manning and Co. had this bad boy circled since the skeds came out?)
Patriots over Bills (welcome to the NFL, E.J. Manuel)
Bears over Bengals
Dolphins over Browns
Lions over Vikings
Colts over Raiders
Saints over Falcons
Buccaneers over Jets (The “Darrelle Revis Bowl”. That’s enough, ESPN)
Steelers over Titans
Panthers over Seahawks
Chiefs over Jaguars
Rams over Cardinals
49ers over Packers (easily could have been my “Game of the Week”)
Giants over Cowboys
Texans over Chargers
