Looks like “Mr. 7-9” is feeling himself a bit much these days – too damn much given the fact that his Los Angeles Rams is mired with a 4-7 record.
Coach Jeff Fisher recently told Hall of Fame running back Eric Dickerson that his players are “not comfortable” with what Dickerson said on his radio show. Apparently “Mr. 7-9” doesn’t think that his players should be subjected to such objectivity from someone who is arguably the best player in Rams’ history.
And did I mention that Dickerson is a Hall of Famer?
As one would expect, Dickerson is mad as hell and said that he wouldn’t be at the Coliseum as long as Fisher is still the coach. And you know what, I don’t blame him one bit.
By the way, Fisher had the unmitigated gall to backtrack and practically denied what he told Dickerson, saying he’d “welcome him in the building”. Really?
Here’s the deal. If you are the coach of a 4-7 team, you have no damn business disrespecting a Hall of Famer. If the Rams’ players are that damn sensitive, it’s no wonder that they suck so hard.
How in the hell is Fisher still employed? Better yet, why in the hell does he keep getting contract extensions?
This dude has not had winning seasons in nine of the past 10 seasons – no winning season since 2008! This same dude has only had four playoff appearances. Shoot, he has YET to take the Rams to the playoffs!
And here’s the kicker: Fisher has the second-most losses as a coach in NFL history. Yet this dude STILL finds a way to get contract extensions and have juice inside the franchise.
Fisher HAS to have something on owner Stan Kroenke. He has to have some photos on Kroenke and other members of the Rams’ brass.
As the great (although that’s debatable) Don King always says, “only in America”.
