Notre Dame Is Back, and That’s Good for College Football

Looks like the Irish are about to matter again.

In trouncing #10 Michigan State 20-3 last night, Notre Dame served notice to the rest of major college football that they are not to be taken lightly.  In fact, the Irish are a force to be reckoned with.

I know some of you are saying “dude you are getting waaay ahead of yourself – asshole!”  Yeah I know it’s early, but think about it: Notre Dame beat a very good Michigan State team ON THE ROAD.  And the final score did not indicate just how one-sided the game was.

And with their next two games at home against Michigan and Miami (in Chicago), Notre Dame is looking at 5-0 and possibly in the top 10 in the AP and Coaches’ polls.

So yes, I’ll say it again: Notre Dame is back.  And the ACC is glad for it.

  1. Big 10’s best teams are fodder for major conferences these days…don’t read anything into the win….and when has Michigan State ever been relevant in college football?
