Bonds’ Arrogance Is Sickening

Barry Bonds was sentenced last Friday to 30 days of house arrest, two-years of probation and a $4,000 fine for his obstruction of justice conviction.

You think that would be good enough for Bonds to ride off into the sunset and put this whole thing behind him, right?

Wrong!

Dude is filing an appeal with the the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeal to toss out his conviction.  Talk about out of touch.

First of all, Bonds needs to realize that he got off BIG TIME from his perjury charge.  Second, he obviously thinks that he did not do anything wrong.

Memo to Bonds: it’s obvious you took some steroids.  If it wasn’t for your trainer, whatever his name is, not ratting your ass out to the grand jury, you would be doing time for perjury.  Instead, you got off on a little obstruction of justice charge.

Sidebar: how was Bonds not charged for perjury when he was charged for obstruction of justice.  Doesn’t the latter imply that one impeded an investigation, with one of the ways via LYING about it?

At any rate, Bonds needs to take his punishment like a man and go away.
