Whelp, the NBA’s worst nightmare has come true.
The 2025 NBA Finals will be taking place in the cities of Oklahoma City and Indianapolis. NBA commish Adam Silver and his media partners have to be quaking in their boots for days.
However, I think this is a classic “styles makes fights” matchup.
OKC is a great defensive team, while the Pacers can light it up on ANYONE. OKC also likes to run, and both teams are DEEP. That should make an exciting and competitive series.
Having said all that, I think the Thunder are inevitable. They are too deep, too talented, too long and too great defensively. There is a reason they won 68 regular season games this season.
Even though Indiana has been quite a run (the Pacers finished the regular season 34-14 since Jan 1st), the series going the distance would be an upset in of itself…
