2019 World Series Preview

Despite my New York Yankees being owned (again) by the Houston Astros, I find this World Series very intriguing.

It’s not often you have two teams whose starting pitching are their strengths. If Houston’s triumvirate of Justin Verlander, Gerrit Cole, and Zach Greinke is intimidating, the Washington Nationals’ foursome of Anibal Sanchez, Max Scherzer, Stephen Strasburg and Patrick Corbin is downright frightening.

What makes Houston equally frightening is that it has the bats to go along with their awesome starting pitching. Has anyone gotten Jose Altuve out yet?

Speaking of Altuve, the Astros’ hitting is going to be the difference in what should be a very competitive World Series. The Nationals have the starting pitching to make this series go the distance, though…

(Bryce Harper has to be somewhere crying in his beer — and counting his money — right now…)

Prediction: Astros in 7
